Look at all these Volvo wagons!

So absolutely mobbing down from Seattle in the 850 at *redacted* mph, averaged over 30mpg. On the way back I took it easy and set cruise control for 4mph over the speed limit, and averaged 24.5 mpg. The same route in the V70 had me at 26.5mpg, and the one time I took the Miata that way I just barely hit 20mpg.

True story (apologies if I’ve told it to you before): one time I saw an old 240 drive by when I was walking around SoCal, and for a split second I got confused and thought I was somehow back in Portland.

Then I saw it was super clean and realized  I was still in Orange County

beautiful day to fly down I5, (and no joke Portland has great culture, beer, bakeries, restaurants, both the Japanese and Chinese gardens are awesome, Powell’s, just an hour from both the gorge and ocean beaches, etc...)
